I am so in love with this one, the BUTToned Up BUTT, made on a glorious white clay with fabulous purple and silver glazes used, topped with glass button flowers and fringing, what a statement piece this one is, I can not wait to see it hanging from a wall in someone’s home.
So the fun begins once again on a Thursday, time to get the hands dirty, the rings and nails full of clay and a smile in place.
This time around I had two mens mannequin bottoms to play with, who could resist really, not me that is for sure. These are made from a simple process of a slab rolled out and shaped over the buttocks (don’t forget to use glad wrap or spay with canola oil before putting the clay on), then a damp sponge taken over to for the contours more, then designs rolled out, or in this case a lace doily used then my little men and women drawn all over, can not forget the love heart tattoo though.
A closer look at the details on this one, yes those little men and women are quite cheeky.
See even on this one they get up to mischief.
So tell me what colours do you think I should play with on these two.
So very happy with how these three have come out for me, they are as follows…..BEWARE, DARE YOU and YOU DID.And do they ever pop with their colours, now to keep them hidden away till Christmas for the other half’s present.
Well that is two more done nad dusted, pattern re-sized again (you would think he could stop putting on across the shoulders to make life simpler for me. NO). Have to say I could not see a shirt made from the fabric above (his choice), have to say upon completion I am quite liking it.
And this is the other fabric choice, very loud and proud. Think he will get away with saying “he’s in the money” with the first one and as for this one ????.
