Clay Mayhem Lives

Hi all I am around still, just so busy that blogs get forgotten, on the list today so lets see how we go.

This is Autumn, say hello to her divine colourings, her take on the season just gone, her majesty, say hi, and say wow that buyer had her before we even saw her 😦

I had so much fun in making this one, and even her leaves came from inspiration of the tree outside our shed we work from.

Steampunk Mask ?

Even I have to say this one is scaring me as she evolves more and more. What can be done to make her right? what can be done?

Any thoughts on what I should do to her?

So of late I have been having fun playing with layouts for my masks and butts, and this is what I cam up with, can you see them at your place?

And yes you can see one of the butts in the background of “Cats Meow”.

Tell me what you feel about these.

Blind Nonsense Wall Art

Well then this fabulous piece emerged from a day of playing, and what a piece it is, Blind Nonsense , I am not telling you what clay i used for this one other than that it is was really gritty and tactile and glorious to use.

The beautiful silver glazed has been used on this piece with left over glass that has melted across the forehead, along with some mens cufflinks to finish the overall look.

Clay Masks Unfinished

Three clay mask under way, the first started life from a plastic Batman mask for a child, and the other two from a polystyrene face. The middle one fell of before I had finished and now looks and is flattened so shall be interesting as I apply paint and glass to. The last one with meow written on her cheek and across her mouth I am thinking will be best done with colour on the writing and texture and a clear glaze over the rest to show of the colour of the clay.

Stay tuned to see the end result.
